One of the toughest things to deal with on Yelp is reviewing a good business that you know very few people can or will visit, which asks whether it was ever meant to be reviewed. The Colonnade Deli is one of those rare places I love, but I must hypocritically warn you that I prefer this place to be in-visit-ble. First off, very few people go here as it is located in a residential area off of a secluded, side-street probably only serving those who have a reason to be around there. It is a place where you can become an over-night regular in that you will never be forgotten. The fact is that they don't know my actual name, but their acknowledgment of me makes it well-worth that set-in-stone fact... I must also add that when I call-in my order, they know the voice, and mine is known only as "HawT SawCE"... (shhhh!) I get my Italian Cheeseburgers, which is two burger-patties on a foot-long loaded with fries and everything ((salt+pepper+ketchup+mayonnaise) X "HawT SawCE"), Philly Cheesesteak, Chicken Parm, and sometimes chips and a Big Texas for dessert. They also have other convenience store items. This place is not for the impatient, as it takes at least 15 minutes to make a sandwich even though they probably only get two sandwich orders per hour. The most expensive item on their menu is $4.95, and you can still get their Philly Cheesesteak for $3.50... but their cheap prices are not my only reason for coming here... There is something very special about going to that secret surf spot that no one knows about or getting-to-know that cute girl who's really weird and sits in the corner... There is also something very special about a local deli that would be completely ruined if more people knew about it's existence...
